How do we celebrate Rahi

On this day sisters tie rakhi to their brothers. Before tying rakhi, sisters place letters, tilak, diya, rakhi and sweets in a plate. After that, making the brother sit in front, apply tilak to him, put letters on him and rakhi is made. After that his aarti is done. By performing the aarti, it is believed that whatever negative energy is around the brother, it will be destroyed in the flame of the aarti and positive energy will be received from it.
After that sisters feed sweets to their brothers. And instead of tying Rakhi, brothers promise their sisters that they will protect them from every trouble and protect them from every evil.

Beginning of the festival of Rahi

According to the history of our India, there are 4 yugas in India. In which Satyug, Dwapar, Treta and Kaliyug are included and it is believed that the festival of Rakhi is going on since Satyug. But some historians also believe that it is about 6000 years old. But on this day sisters tie rakhi to their brothers and brothers promise to protect them in exchange for that rakhi.

I also went to the market yesterday, to get rakhis for my brothers. There were many beautiful beautiful rakhis present there. That's why I was not able to understand, which one should I take. So in the end I kept simple red and green ones.
