The moths are fine, its usually quiet at this time of year anyway :-)

Some of our native moths do feed on seeds etc... there is an imported species - Indian Meal Moth, that has become established in warehouses and grain stores across the country. I suspect by the time the grain has been bagged up and sent to the shop for you to buy, the caterpillar stage will have already finished, and they will in a pupae stage, getting ready to merge as an adult moth

My neighbour works in a mill, so he knows the issues with such pests. I assume they do no harm to the chickens.

It's quite nice out today with a few insects like bumblebees around.

Chickens will be fine, they'll eat any insects any way

It took until 2pm for the fog to finally clear, and then it felt warm in the sunshine
