Como están todos mis amigos de esta genial ¨AmazingnatureANCommunity¨: Cuesta creer cómo han pasado los días, increíble que fuera domingo, día en que acostumbro a visitar esta preciosa ¨reserva¨: , lugar donde me encanta hacer paseos ¨fotográficos¨: desde que tengo memoria he sido un apasionado de la naturaleza, y es lo que me gusta de visitar semanalmente el predio, que aquí hay muchas plantas de las que puedo aprender de manera ¨científica¨:
How is everyone doing in this great ¨AmazingnatureANCommunity¨: It is hard to believe how the days have flown by; it is incredible that it was Sunday—the day I usually visit this beautiful ¨reserve¨: , a place where I love going for ¨photowalks¨: . I have been passionate about nature for as long as I can remember, and that is what I enjoy about visiting the grounds weekly: there are so many plants here that I can learn about from a ¨scientific¨: perspective.

Si existe un tipo de planta que me gusta, son las ¨Suculentas¨: especialmente las "aloe", y ahora más desde que he descubierto que hay muchas especies, y que cada una de ellas tiene su propia apariencia. Últimamente me he visto sorprendido por la floración y el crecimiento de esta planta de ¨Aloe¨-¨maculata¨: llamada así por las manchas que tienen sus pencas. If there is one type of plant I really like, it is succulents—especially aloes. I’ve grown even fonder of them since discovering just how many species there are and how unique each one looks. Lately, I’ve been amazed by the flowering and growth of this Aloe maculata—named for the spots on its leaves. While they originate in South Africa, they are cultivated as ornamental plants and can be found in many countries.

La naturaleza es realmente hermosa, y si te tomas el tiempo para estar en su cercanía, te puedes llegar a sorprender a diario; es lo que sucedió esta semana con esta preciosa ¨ave¨: aquí la conocemos como ave ratona, por su similitud a un ratón al moverse, ya que generalmente se mueve a saltitos y pocas veces vuela. Son extremadamente rápidas y son muy difíciles de fotografiar. Esta semana descubrí otro comportamiento de ellas: son extremadamente curiosas y, cuando hay algo que llama su atención, se acercan con confianza a las personas para observar lo que hacen. Si bien son nativas de ¨América¨-¨del¨.¨Norte¨: son especies que son vistas en gran parte del mundo.
Nature is truly beautiful, and if you take the time to be close to it, you can find yourself surprised every day; that is what happened this week with this lovely bird: here, we call it the "mouse bird" (*ave ratona*) due to its mouse-like movements, as it generally hops about and rarely flies. They are extremely quick and very difficult to photograph. This week, I discovered another behavior of theirs: they are extremely curious, and when something catches their attention, they confidently approach people to observe what they are doing. Although native to North America, these species are found in many parts of the world.

De las plantas de ¨ornamentación¨: me gustan las "palmeras", y al igual que las plantas de "suculentas", tienen muchas especies. Una especie que tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar esta semana en la conocida como ¨Dypsis¨-¨lutescens¨: Esta especie de planta es originaria de ¨Madagascar¨: pero como se siembra de manera ¨ornamental¨: se las encuentra en muchas partes del mundo.
Among ornamental plants, I like palms; much like succulents, they comprise many species. One species I had the opportunity to photograph this week is known as Dypsis lutescens. This plant species is native to Madagascar, but because it is cultivated for ornamental purposes, it can be found in many parts of the world.

En cuanto a los árboles, me encanta el ¨paraíso¨: Este bello ejemplar tiene sus orígenes en ¨Himalaya¨: pero su adaptación es tal que se los puede ver en muchos países del mundo. Generalmente, las personas lo siembran por la gran cantidad de sombra que provee. Sus frutos son extremadamente tóxicos para los humanos, no así para las aves. En consecuencia, hay que ser muy cuidadoso al manipular sus frutos; si se ingieren en mucha cantidad, pueden ser muy venenosos.
As for trees, I love the Chinaberry tree: This beautiful specimen originates from the Himalayas, yet it has adapted so well that it can be found in many countries around the world. People generally plant it for the abundant shade it provides. Its fruits are extremely toxic to humans, though not to birds. Consequently, one must be very careful when handling the fruit; if ingested in large quantities, it can be highly poisonous.

Good afternoon, @jlufer; I enjoyed strolling through the Corrientes Botanical Garden. I’ll mention that a specimen of that African aloe grows on my apartment terrace alongside other succulents. The House Wren isn't found around here, so—as always—there is a surprise for me in your posts. Thank you.

El día de hoy me has traído muchos recuerdos, ese ave la llamábamos en Bahía Blanca... ratonera, es preciosa de pequeña que es. Que lindo verla, aquí no hay. Luego el aloe.... no te imaginas la cantidad que tenía en casa y daban flor así y muchas, tenía muchas juntas. Y luego ese árbol, tiene una historia especial, el primero que tuvimos en casa lo llamamos como el hombre que nos enseño todo sobre mantenimiento de jardines: Ivo.
