RE: Another bizarre comet SWAN discovered even bigger than recent 3I/ATLAS.

Hey there Claire, many thanks for your kind feedback. These comets are a totally new phenomena suggesting we still have so much to learn about everything. We've never seen these types of objects until recently, possibly because our telescopes have improved and now allow us to see what may have been passing by our Sun all along.

That is absolutely fascinating! You know, it's shocking that I have never been to the planetarium that we have here in Cape Town.! Shocking! We do also have a suburb called Observatory! And It's named after, you guessed it, the observatory that has been there for almost 100 years. I am sure they have also been upgrading their telescopes regularly!

The only chances I've had to get a real good look at out galaxy and see some shooting stars was when traveling into the wilderness where there is no light pollution.

In some paces, it feels like you can see the whole Milky Way!

There are also apps for your phone that plot the constellations in real time in your sky for you, which you might like.

Really????

That is super cool! For Android phones? What are the apps called?
