- Here we are at a new destination to photograph nature, specifically in Seixal Bay located in Setubal. It is a good spot for birdwatching when the tide is low, because many birds take advantage of the mudflats to search for food, so they stay in the same area for a long time, which is perfect for us to photograph them and identify bird species.

- Aquí nos encontramos en un nuevo destino a fotografiar la naturaleza, específicamente en la bahía de Seixal localizada en Setubal, es un buen punto para hacer birdwatching cuando el agua está baja, porque muchos pájaros aprovechan en buscar comida en la lama, entonces se quedan por un largo tiempo en una misma zona, que es perfecto para nosotros lograr fotografiarlos y identificar especies de pájaros.
In the photos, we can see several fishing boats, but this is normal because Seixal Bay is a fishing area, so at certain points you will see people fishing.
Our first identified friend is a beautiful goose. This species is known for having a rather unfriendly personality. It is common for a large percentage of geese in the area to attack regardless of the size of their opponent. They are very territorial and fiercely defend their territory, acting as a two-legged alarm system that will bite and honk loudly to warn you to leave. This species has already been welcomed by humans as protectors, and some farmers even have geese as security guards for their homes. Even at the São Pedro de Alcântara prison in Brazil, geese were placed to watch over the inmates. The prison director reported that they are a safe and more economical alarm system. En las fotos podemos observar varios botes pesqueros, pero es algo normal porque la bahía de seixal es una zona pesquera, así que en ciertos puntos podrás ver personas pescando.
Nuestro primer amigo identificado es un hermoso ganso, esta especie es popular por tener una personalidad no muy amable, es común que en el área donde se encuentran hay un gran % que ataquen sin importar del tamaño de su rival, son muy territoriales y grandes defensores de su territorio, un sistema de alarma con dos patas, que morderán y su gran graznido te advertirán que tienes que irte. Esta especie ya ha sido acogida por el ser humano como protector, incluso algunos granjeros tienen gansos como guardias de seguridad del hogar. - Of course we had to encounter this species, seagulls. If you are near a coast, these friends will be in the area. There are different types of seagull species. Here we managed to identify the black-headed gull, one of the most common in Europe. Its name defines it, as its song sounds like laughter. In the photos, we can also see the European herring gull, which we can identify by the colours of its grey, black and white feathers and its yellow beak with a red tip. They normally feed on fish and water worms, but we have seen photos online of these birds eating squirrels, other small birds and even practising cannibalism.

- Por supuestos que teníamos que encontrarnos esta especie, las gaviotas, si estás cerca de una costa estos amigos se encontrarán el área, hay diferentes tipos de especies de gaviotas, aquí logramos identificar la especie reidora, es una de las más comunes en ver en Europa, ese nombre lo define, ya que su canto parece que se estuvieran riendo. También en las fotos podemos ver la especie argéntea europea que podemos identificar por los colores de sus plumas gris, negro y blanco, pico amarillo pero con un color rojo en su punta. Su alimentación normalmente es de peces, gusanos de agua, pero ya hemos visto en internet de estos pájaros comiendo ardillas, otros pájaros pequeños e incluso practicando el canibalismo.
- Ursian Spoonbills (Patalea leucorodia) One of the birds that I loved and my favourites in this photo shoot in Seixal. I was not familiar with this species, but thanks to the magic of the internet, I was able to identify it. This bird has a peculiar spatula-shaped beak and is native to Africa and Asia, but it has also been introduced to Europe. We can observe them in shallow waters, such as bays, lakes, ponds, etc. Its special beak helps it feed on molluscs, crustaceans, frogs, tadpoles, newts, worms, leeches, and small fish. Like many bird species, they are always found in groups.

- urasian Spoonbills (Patalea leucorodia) uno de los pájaros que me encantaron y mis favoritos en esta sesión fotográfica en Seixal, no tenía conocimiento de esta especie, pero gracias a la magia del internet logre identificarlo, esta ave tiene un pico peculiar en forma de espátula y es un ave de origen de África y Asia que también fue colocada en la fauna de Europa y podemos observarlas en aguas poco profundas, como una bahía, lago, estanques etc. Su pico especial le ayuda a alimentarse de moluscos, crustáceos, ranas, renacuajos, tritones, gusanos, sanguijuelas, y peces pequeños. Como muchas especies de aves, siempre están en grupo.
ahhhhhh si estrenando 300mm, tuviste problemas con el calor se ve como las fotos se distorsionan recuerdas si tenias el sol frente de ti?

Saludos @quiubi, es curiosa la noticia de los gansos, los he visto pero de lejos, tienen fama de no ser muy amigables y teritoriales, en la zona donde vivo, es común ver gaviotas, generalmente en las tardes se agrupan en los botes.
