In most cultures there have always been legends about specters that take the form of a beautiful woman to seduce and attract men who wander at night, in most cases they are men of evil intentions and once they lure them to a place they only show themselves as the demonic entity that they are causing death to men in most cases.
I wrote a short story inspired by all these urban legends to bring this collage to life.
One clear night with a full moon a hunter was returning home empty handed after an unsuccessful hunt in the forest.
The night was almost over and he was frustrated and cursing and when he was approaching the village he saw a lonely lady washing her face in the small pond.
As he approached, he noticed that it was a very beautiful young woman with a scent of lavender flowers.
At that moment the hunter said sarcastically "at the end it was not a lost night" with intentions of hurting the young lady.
When the hunter decided to go around the pond to get to the girl, she got up and began to walk along the surface of the pond until she reached the place where the hunter was.
To the hunter's surprise, she was no longer a beautiful girl with the scent of flowers and what he saw was a decomposing corpse with an unbearable smell of putrefaction.
There the specter let out a loud shriek and left.
When the day came the hunter was found on the shore of the pond trembling and unable to articulate a word, since then the hunter was in shock and could never speak again.
