LMAC Freestyle: Where Two Worlds Meet

Happy weekend to everyone.
Even though I still have to work this weekend, I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and wish you all a peaceful and enjoyable weekend.

Today, I’d like to share my latest collage. Before diving into a new chapter for this week’s LMAC contest, I prepared another collage that I created a few days ago. I approached this one with complete freedom—no sketch, no fixed concept. I simply let my intuition guide the process, and this is the final result.

In this piece, I experimented with several layered circular elements arranged at the center. There’s a fractal, then the moon, and finally an eyeball, all sharing the same basic shape: a circle. To me, circles symbolize wholeness, cycles, and focal points.

There are also two hands reaching toward each other, each holding a different symbol, a butterfly and a snake. In this work, I see them as representations of two opposing yet complementary forces.

The snake represents the mysterious, dark, and challenging side.
The butterfly, on the other hand, reflects beauty, lightness, and hope.

It’s a meeting of two contrasting energies. There is tension, but also balance. There is danger, but also beauty. And beyond all of that, we return to our role as observers—just like the eye placed at the center of the collage. The eye symbolizes awareness. We can see both sides, but never at the same time.
We choose, we feel, we become aware.

Lovely and haunting at the same time. Opposing forces on each side of the evil eye. Which will win out. I'm cheering for the butterfly hand. Thanks so much for including my fractal in your design as a background for the evil eye. I appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing. Take care.
