I titled this collage 🕸🕷THE CURIOUS CASE OF ANNA🕷🕸 to narrate the story of a girl called Anna Worthpenny.
The date is September 14th, 1982. Anna Worthpenny was a teenager at the time, but she has since felt as if she has lived for 40 years. After moving for the third time this year, this time to Boogieville, a little hill town.
"Who came up with the name Boogieville for a town?"
Anna inquired of their new Helper, Ms. Fairmouth, a local, while biting into an apple with a smirk.
Ms. Fairmouth smiles at Anna as she dries the dishes with a kitchen napkin and says,
"The town was called Boogieville after a mysterious occurrence that happened long before you were born, my lovely girl."
Ms. Fairmouth receives a curious grin from Anna.
"Alright, Come on, let me show you something before you ask what this event was about."
She motions Anna to follow her out the back kitchen door.
"Do you see that rocky hill over there? Behind it is an old house with unexplained happenings. According to sources, it's haunted, and no one has dared to walk down that road and come back, at least none that I'm aware of."
Ms. Fairmouth carries on,
"Another tale claims it's the spiteful old man's ghost that resides there. He comes into town every now and then to harvest souls and then vanishes."
Anna pushes her sight even more trying to see what's there.
"Do you think it's also haunted?"
With a curious expression on her face, Anna raises her head to ask Ms. Fairmouth.
"I don't know Anna, but I do know it's not a place for bright, little girls like you. Now hurry up, it's 5:20 p.m., much over my closing time, and I have to leave soon."
The helper adds as she checks her watch and ushers Anna back into the house through the back door.
Anna checks her watch as she pants back and forth while looking out the kitchen window; it's 6:45 p.m. She rushes to her room, puts on her sneakers and coat, and then drops a message for her parents on her way out, which reads:
~Gone to check the old weird house uphill, the Helper has nothing to do with it. Be back soon, With love, Anna🙂~"
before reaching for her father's old torchlight on the shelf.
It was a rocky, steep trail, and the only way out was through a cave. Anna Inhales &exhales deeply through her shoulders and continues climbing through the cave. She arrived at what appeared to be an opening but was entirely obscured by cobweb.
"Ah! Ms. Fairmouth was right. It appears that no one has been here in a long time."
She says aloud to herself as she cuts through the web with the torch, and there she was standing in awe!
The sky was different, the birds sparkled like light, the butterflies glowed like the sky and the moon was strangely odd like nothing she'd ever seen before, and she stood in wonder of what her small mind couldn't comprehend. She sat on a creepy log and watched in amazement.
"So that's the old house Ms. Fairmouth was talking about, right? It certainly appear creepy, and with sheep in the vicinity, someone must be living here. I wonder as to who it is?"
Anna continued to converse with herself.
She suddenly turns in terror as she hears ~tip-tap-tip-tap~ footsteps approaching her from the cave.
Who could it possibly be? Was it her parents who received the note and went searching for her, or was it the vengeful old man who had returned from town with souls harvested?
Anna stood immobile, her heart racing, shoulders trembling, eyes wide and pupils dilated.

If you check the 3rd paragraph right up the intro section of this post, you'll see a link. Visit that link and subscribe to the Community for the next collage contest which should be on Thursday. You have all the time from now to study the post, the rules and all you need to know is carefully and clearly stated out there.
You know how you source photos from Pixabay etc. in your blogs? exactly same thing applies here. The community has it's own gallery and you can get images from it https://www.lmac.gallery/lil-gallery (don't forget to add beneficiaries) or from whitelisted sites like pexel, pixabay etc.
