[BUG] COMMUNITY UI

This is bugging me (heh)

Here's my LOGGED IN View

Looks super clean, the about widget is visible.

Here's how the same page looks NOT LOGGED IN

Note the "About" Widget is completely missing.

Also, I'd like to have an option to make dark-mode the default.

Thanks guy! Overall communities look much better here than on other frontends, just the about widget needs fixing :)

Ops, thanks for reporting ...fixed in the next release ;)

Oh the side bar is missing?
And you can make dark mode your default but it has to be each individuals default and so far the majority of people dont choose dark mode.

Side bar missing, and I want to have an option to default dark mode for everyone :)

Why do you want to decide what is default for everyone? Because you think they're all missing out?

I only want to decide for the communities I admin and my blog. Kind of like an option

edit: and only for NOT LOGGED IN users

This is true, but let's add some interesting stats.

I just checked the settings for active users in the last 3 months and turned out that:

  • 60% of the users just use the default setting (light mode)
  • 26% of the users who set a preference use night mode
  • 14% of the users who set a preference use light mode

So night mode is popular between the users who know how to reach the 'Settings' page :D

Yep, I want an option to set it fro my communities I admin and my own blog. Not as default by default... If that makes sense :)
