When will we launch Hive-Discover?
Normally, we wanted to launch it this month, but because of technical problems, we had to move the launch date. These problems are now fixed and some little feature are in progress to become alive. We are also organising an open beta test to check, if everything is running smooth and perfectly.
How does we know which posts could be interesting for you?
Based on your personal activities (voting and writing), we create a custom profile overview for every user. This profile holds up to 65 topics and represents your interests on a percentage basis. All latest posts also get a profile which we will then compared to your own one. The top elements are saved and whenever you want to discover content, we will show them.
How does we know your personal activities?
It is quite simple – the HIVE blockchain contains all information we need and is public. Every transaction you made is saved in the blockchain, so we can easily extract them. Then these information are involved in the profile building process. We also gather the latest posts in the same way by looking in the blockchain.
What are we doing with YOUR data? Do we sell it?
Of course, we will not sell any data to third parties. We save them securely in our database so no one else can see or download them. But if you wish to delete all information, we got about you, just press a button at our website (later).
