Politics is the source of power and money
Politics is supposed to be a method of serving people and nation. It is envisaged as a necessary evil which is supposed to make human society better. It means politicians are supposed to be the servant of the society whose life is devoted towards the betterment of the public. They are meant to serve people and forget their personal life. So, politics should automatically be a less attractive career. But, in reality there is a fierce competition in politics. Politicians spend lots of money for their campaigns, they put their businesses and career on a bet. If they fail, no one would come to help them. In countries like India, even candidates contesting elections are killed by their opponents. They have to listen to the people whom they won’t like in a normal course of life. Despite of it, their career may end any time. Any allegation can ruin their political career. So, they take a very high risk. But, despite of all such thing they are bent on sticking to the politics, why?
Everything written on the above paragraphs is true. But, in reality politics is a very attractive career. People who are willing to take risk are rewarded much from politics. Politics gives immense power to the politicians. They have protection from laws as they control and promulgate laws and orders. They can change laws according to the benefit of themselves. Politics brings power and power brings money, money brings more power and more power brings more money. So, it becomes a perpetual cycle. You won’t see any politicians to be a poor and neglected person. He and his family enjoy a very high and luxurious life. Powerful businessmen, sports star, film stars are in lines to get a chance to talk to a big politician. Politicians can make anyone and ruin anyone. So, it makes them proud and haughty. A sense of ruling others gives them energy. In politics, it’s a normal thing that some political families are ruling from one generation to other generation. So, politics is a career for politicians. In reality, it is not a means of serving the public. In fact, everyone becomes subjects of politicians. This is the reason that they are ready to take any risk to be on top. They are in politics for their own interests. They are not the servant of the public, they are the rulers. Some silly people fought over politicians. They cannot digest any such news which is against their favorite politician. Politicians’ goons can kill anyone or be killed for their leaders. What they get in return? They get immunity from laws and escaped from bad consequences of their crime. That’s why they are always ready to serve their leader. But, why ordinary people die for them? It’s because they feel themselves as the subject of the leader and thus thinks it better to serve him, despite of all his misdeeds. People need to evaluate and judge their leaders critically. They should not be the follower of the politicians, in fact they should be their bitter critics. This can save the democracy, safeguard the interest and liberty of the people. Remember, most of the politicians in the politics are for their own interest. They are not here to serve you.
