Hello Everyone, Ankush Here.
Which browser do you use? Chrome? Brave? Firefox? or any other chromium browser?
If you're a Chrome user, maybe you're happy with the it's deep integration with other Google services. But, it has nothing to offer more than it. It has privacy concerns, is a memory cruncher, does not have an ad-blocker and the list goes on. Firefox? Great concept, but still, you may have seen some websites do feel out of order. Brave? Great, simple awesome. Rewards it's users, comes with built in ad-block and fingerprint blocking and other lots of features.
There are other browsers in the market which aren't still able to grab the attention of the masses as Brave did. And guess what, there are even better alternatives. In this post, I am going to discuss one of them.
Say hello to Pando Browser, yes it's Pando.
Sorry Windows, ios and MacOS users, at the time of writing, it's not available for you to download. According to their whitepaper, it's in their roadmap and most probably, you can expect that to arrive by 2021.
It's available for Android users, but you need to download the latest version from their official website. Well, it's not a malware, just due to Google policies, they haven't updated the one on Play Store. It's is listed in the Play Store just to make sure that people would be able to notice that.
Now, I would discuss the pros and cons of this browser. I would also discuss why you should/shouldn't download this browser. So, lend me your ears for a few moments.
It is a Chromium browser based on web 3.0. It's is designed to protect the users from big tech companies which are constantly mining user's data and are getting richer day-by-day by capturing the attentions of it's products(users). The Pando browser aims to compensate the time and attention a user pays while using web with it's own native tokens, called Pando. At the same time, it has a built in ad, fingerprint and tracker blocker which prevents these companies from getting your data. It's unique technology makes it faster that any of it's competitors. It has a built in PoSW(Proof of Software) mining mechanism which mines tokens based on your activity on web browser without using any of your device's resources. It comes with IPFS( The InterPlanetary File System ) and VPN(Virtual Private Network) built in thus providing additional security by masking your IP address. One thing to note is that effectively the VPN is free, but you need to pay via Pando coins minted on your device to access the services. Please note, the VPN is still not implemented and is on their roadmap at the time of writing this article. A built in Cryptocurrency wallet makes handling the Pando Tokens a breeze and built in secure messenger makes it one of the most feature rich browser till now.
Please note, the browser won't make you rich overnight!
But, it would pay you for your attention, thus giving the control in your hands.
You may ask, how much can I earn and my answer would be, it depends. I don't know when you're reading this. The project is great, so the prices would hike, and you may earn even more. There would be another feature called ad-mining, which isn't available yet at the time of writing, but has the potential to increase your earnings.
Now, as promised-
Pros -
- Hell lot of features. I can't cover every thing here. Please visit the link down below, or comment me.
- Privacy friendly.
- Comes with free VPN.
- Gives free rewards for using it, without using your resources.
- Faster that it's competitors.
Cons -
- Running an older version of Chromium at the time of writing. But, still I think it's one of it's features. It's stable and fast.
- The Play Store version is atleast running pretty new version, but the mining isn't enabled there. The official mining in the Play Store app would start soon.
- Initial payouts can be low, at the time of writing. But who cares! It's free money, go grab it!
Pando tokens are listed on Bittrex and MXC, as well as it's own exchange. You can earn even more rewards by using their services like Pando Music, Pando Games and so on. It's not only a browser, it's an ecosystem. I recommend you all to read it's whitepaper first.
Should you download it? Of course, why not?
Here's how to do -
- Download from here.
- If you want to mine some pando, don't use the Play Store link.
- Just install and open the browser. You would see the symbol of Pando the top right corner, click on it and select "sign up".
- Fill up accordingly, submit the information and then login via your credentials. It may ask for OTP, just fill that.
- Now, you would see the mining at work.
I hope that you liked this post. I would try to come up with more such projects, and to support me, just hit the upvote button. Need to know something more, or want to suggest improvement, comment down and I would reply you as soon as possible. For windows users, I am currently researching a new browser. Stay tuned for more updates.
there are currently many search engines and the truth is that from my point of view chorome is one of the best, integration with google services is great in terms of privacy sorry to tell you that one way or another large companies will get your data I think no one escapes that today of that reality.
Thank You Sir for letting me know about your thoughts. You're right, if you're using android, Google will track you. But you know what, it's based on blockchain. A few days back, I searched about a few colleges from brave browser. Next day, I got a few ads of colleges I searched for on Gmail app. However, I have been using Pando, I never received any ad relevant to what I searched. Do let me know about your thoughts.
