I'm relatively new to the crypto game, but I've been around long enough to know a thing or two about a thing or two. I know a little bit about how the market works and thanks to my time around these blocks, I can sniff a scam from a mile away.
I came in for short term gains at the beginning, especially when you consider the fact that I got in during the late 2017/early 2018 bullish period. However, unlike a lot of people I know who chose to slide out when the bears came around, I have tarried and in that time, I've been reshaped into a different kind of man.
I think the most obvious change in me is my perception of money and how it can be manipulated to suit my requirements. While a lot of the learning is thanks to my experience on Hive, I was able to transmit the gamified/casual financial lessons I picked up from here into a sustainable mentality geared towards improving myself.
Through casual conversations, I learnt a thing or two about how I could make lifestyle changes to improve my finances. Cutting down on X, doing more of Y and all that stuff that actually contributes to my financial wellness. ..
outside of my finances, I've also learnt to be more accountable to myself, first and foremost and then to whoever is paying attention to anything I do. I feel a sort of responsibility to myself and to the society at large that ensures that I'm always striving to contribute towards the success of things.
This drive to contribute towards success trickles down into every aspect of my life, and has morphed into an investment strategy that, while still in the making, has been my saving Grace in this unregulated, wild and volatile crypto market.
Despite the high level of volatility and uncertainty that surrounds different markets, there's a certain level of calm that comes from knowing that I'm not only working for today but working towards creating a better future for me and mine.
