The incorporation of technology in sports is important, beyond the use of drones to avoid contagion I think it is wise to use the hawk eye to eliminate possible failures in the decision of the judges, something like the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) in soccer. Alcon's Eye has time to use in tennis, but was limited for verification of plays.
More recently, it is set in place to minimize the number of people on the court through the replacement of line judges, attributing the advantage of certainty in decisions of the results of the plays.
Of course all this for the benefit of sport.
