Last Tuesday, May 12, abruptly and without prior notice, the multinational AT&T announced in a statement the immediate cessation of its operations in Venezuela, this measure left approximately 10 million users without access to this service, without access to information or entertainment at a time when confinement measures have the whole family at home.
From that day until today, some news events have taken place regarding this matter, the supreme court issued a ruling ordering CONATEL, the telecommunications regulatory entity in Venezuela, to take possession of all the movable and immovable assets of Directv in the country, CONATEL to in turn, he called on the company to immediately restore the service, which has not happened.

The NGO world without gag launched a campaign with some public figures, artists and athletes, a collection of digital signatures to ask the multinational AT&T to establish an international signal of Directv freely.
"In the face of the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19 and the enormous need for Venezuelans to have relief from the harsh living conditions to which they are being subjected, a petition is raised for AT&T to activate a DirecTV signal abroad, that allows users to access information and entertainment channels in Venezuela. "

"Given that access to information and freedom of expression are inalienable human rights, the Venezuelan population turns to the good offices and humanitarian vocation of the company DirecTV to activate reception systems and TV to return to the homes of almost 10 million Venezuelans."
The NGO is organizing various activities, ranging from the digital signature of the petition to a worldwide tweet organized for next Thursday, May 28.
If these measures will have any positive results, we do not know yet, the fact is that there are a large number of people joining this activity because they have decided not to stay without doing anything in this situation.
