DEMOGRAPHY
Do you know nearly 5M+ people browse through Crypto websites to do research about investment. And this figure is of-course growing.
And the leading countries are the USA, UK, Canada, Spain, India, Australia.
And during this lockdown more people entered crypto and invested, which is evident from the rise in the above graphs and country wise statistically.
We can observe that India grew 102%, which is an outstanding figure and suggests that lockdown made people understand blockchain and diversify their income.
Of Course country wise stats opens up opportunities to focus as a marketer.
TRAFFIC SOURCE
About 50% average traffic comes from Search Engine, well that is normal.
Top search terms are related to bitcoin and that's totally understandable.
On an Average 5% comes from referral websites.
Twitter serves average 50% traffic among social media channels in reciprocation to the volatile nature of Cryptocoins.
But an interesting fact here is that 0.15% of traffic comes from display advertisements. Out of which around 90% are adult websites.
I reason it out as Crypto is highly volatile and thus it matches with people who like instant gratification. But, I am still wondering the reason here, if anyone figures out please do comment.
CONCLUSION
From the above data, people who are facing marketing challenges can re-channelise their efforts to get max. Traffic.
- Tremendous rise in queries from countries : India and Canada
- Maximum marketing efforts should be on optimising for Search Engine as it counts nearly 50% of traffic.
- Most Active social media is twitter among crypto communities, thus efforts can be re-focused to twitter only.
I have done more in depth study for crypto magazine for starters, as I myself was going to make one. But then, I changed the course to start my own Crypto Exchange, with a vision of offering the best rate.
I think for someone who is starting a crypto blog or magazine can sure use the above data to plan go to market strategy.
