Majority of the people we have around us like to receive without giving, little wonder the reason why we have a lot of workers who are not ready to give in their best to an establishment but they want an increase in allowance and regular promotion from the boss they are not ready to support. Millions of people every day want to gain without giving anything and I do not see progress happening that way.

While going on to that office every day or while putting on your laptop to work, you need to sincerely ask yourself if you are giving any significant effort to make things work out, even if your boss thinks you are doing a good job you are the one who can tell yourself the truth about that situation- are you really putting in a considerable and significant effort into the task you have been assigned to do, if you are not then it is time to get up on your feet and begin to get some good work done.
For the task that you have been given to do, if you are paying attention towards making any great improvement by putting in a great effort you will attain a much better result eventually. Winners usually win by putting out themselves completely, they put in every of their effort and brain task to get the best out of their occupations.
The pride that comes to a winner when he eventually wins is when he looks back and then remembers how rough the road has been and how impossible it seem to get any good thing happening but after putting in every energy, he comes out as a winner. It gets to a point in our lives when we look at ourselves and say to ourselves that we deserve every atom of success that has come to us because we truly deserved it.
Every day that you wake up, make it a daily decision to give in the best of your effort to every situation, but please take time to rest when necessary after resting get back up on your feet and continue to give in your very best to the accomplishment of those dreams. Remember that success requires you to give before it gives back to you, make it a daily habit and confession to sow hard work and dedication so that in return success will find you worthy of its blessings.

That type of behavior that you mention of people who only want to receive without giving it is a typical example of millions of people who tend to be a burden to a society, they do nothing and the little they do believe they deserve everything. and when they see a people who works putting all their effort they begin to put bad thoughts in those people so that they are demotivated.

Hi @oluwatobiloba, good post. I think it is necessary to give and receive, to have a balance in that, if you don't give, the universe will not help you to receive. As simple as that, just as you put it.
Even the good books say it is more blessed to give than to receive
That's one of the things that I think can make a real difference in people's lives, if people just focus on being better than they were the day before, they can achieve excellence. Consistency is the key to success, being consistent in doing your best every day and every time.
