Sure, you guys know this image, and maybe you shared it in comments or chats with your friends multiple times before, and it's just a nice meme for you, right?
Well, believe it or not, for the little cute girl who appears in said image, Zoe Roth, it's now a fortune worth more than $ 473,000!
This image was taken in January 2005 unintentionally by the girl's father while extinguishing a fire two buildings away from their house. She was 4 years old at the time, and her image appeared on many photo-sharing sites, and then it went viral on the internet as a meme.
According to the Independent, the original "Disaster Girl" image has been sold on Thursday with 180 Ethereum, which is equivalent to $ 473,000 given Ether's price at the time.
The image was converted to an NFT format in such a way that Ms. Zoe Roth (who is now a 21-year university student) and her father keep receiving 10% of profits from any future sales.
Zoe Roth expressed her surprise at the price of her image and said that she would use this money for charities and for paying off her student loan.
Just to clarify, the Image that was sold is the original version, and certainly not the one you store on your smartphone. However, every time you share this meme with someone, please remember that you're sharing a $ 473,000 image, and its value will just keep increasing as Ether goes up.
Now, I don't know about you guys, but I strongly believe that The world before NFT technology and after cannot be the same. There are more doors going to open for designers and artists to spread their art to the world and receive decent appreciation for their efforts. I think we are on the verge of a new era that will witness a wonderful merging of blockchain and art to unleash innovation and creativity.
Finally, if you have a unique photo you took in the past with your own camera and have the right to sell it, maybe it will be a good idea to start to consider converting it to an NFT. Who knows? maybe, it will be the fastest way to be a millionaire. 😂

What are the best websites to use to convet to NFT ? I've seen one taking $80 fee for posting there. Are there any websites that take much less fees ? I think gas now is very expensive !
Honestly, I don't know if there are any cheap websites for the time being, but I think gas fees will keep being very high until Ethereum 2.0 launch. Maybe, I'll do a small research on that topic soon.
