A Review about a cover of Sway by Jennifer Connelly | A soundtrack from Dark City|

in Musicforlife 🎶3 years ago

This song was performed in a movie called "Dark City" a science fiction movie from 1998. It was directed by Alex Proyas and its screenplay was written by Proyas, Lem Dobbs, and David S. Goyer. Rufus Sewell, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, Richard O'Brien, and William Hurt were the casts of this movie.

"Sway" was originally by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and here in this scene of the movie it was performed by Jennifer Connelly. she did a pretty good performance and her vocal fits well on this song (as she is an actress, her vocal's tone was already prepared) and we can hear the real emotion in her voice.

The song contains Electric Guitars (Clean/Distorted), piano, percussion, Bass, Drums. Bassline and Guitar lines are amazing and I really enjoyed listening to them, also the piano piece added a nice feeling to the whole song (with vocal answer melodies and adding space by low chords), in some parts electric guitar is performing melodies like western songs. the way the vocalist is singing high notes (softly) made it sound warm and heartful. though she doesn't perform vibration in the notes she was performing but still it sounds good and unique.

The video shows Connely standing on a stage with a band performing behind her and the location is a small bar with audiences watching and listening to her.

If you have any idea about this song and this video, write it below in the comment section.

Really please to see you here in M4L!

Thanks bro, I am glad too :)

I think I may have seen that movie, but it would have been long ago. It is a nice song and that's a good version. I've got into some of that old music playing swing in my duo, but not played that one yet.

That's awesome, It will be great. :)

Your post is reblogged and upvoted by me. It is a good post. Thank you @davidfar
