This year the Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) began to change the way in which art is monetized, in this sense Steve Aoki, like other DJs, seeks to innovate in the market with the first series in such format.
The novelty of NFTs is that they allow monetizing intangible goods (music, digital animations, videos, etc.) through a blockchain, which is basically a transaction that stores information, which cannot be modified, lost or deleted.
Steve Aoki's first approach to this market was with the sale of "Dream Catcher", an audiovisual collection of 11 pieces, on the Nifty Gateway platform, and some of them included physical objects.
Now Steve Aoki will go to the next level of NFTs with the launch of the first series of episodes on blockchain.
The DJ teamed up with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, an animation company and studio, for the release of DOMINION X on August 2, the series is based on the character Character X, which we met in "Dream Catcher".

On the release of DOMINION X, Steve Aoki commented:
"The idea of launching the first "TV" series on blockchain really excited me. We realized that through NFTs we can combine traditional stop-motion animation, which Stoopid Buddy Stoodios is known for, with concepts that I am passionate about such as collectibles, community building and gaming.
And I rejoice in the fact that we have brought CHARCTER X, a creature that literally personifies me, to life in a whole new world with new characters and new adventures."
