The audience welcomed that first song warmly, though I wasn't quite satisfied with my rendition; maybe the fact that I didn't warm up my voice sabotaged my low notes, but I was about to recover!.
They clapped as I thought of another song to sing. "One in Spanish" said my mom, and then it hit me. Maybe not everyone knew "Yo soy una mujer" (I am a woman) but when I began to sing I heard one (maybe two) waitress humming it, so I knew I made a good choice... Besides that, the song it's pretty much like me, so I felt really confortable singing it 🙂.
