Hello, everyone! I am proud to announce that after allot of time of planning and development, we are launching the first part of our BlockTunes platform to the public! Our initial governance and token sale consists of a couple of parts. First, you have the NFT/LP/GT token sale. This is a 3 tier sale where people who want to be apart of the governance board for the BlockTunes DAO on Binance Smart Chain will purchase their chosen level of support. Each level comes with an NFT, 1 governance token that will be issued separately by a DAO vote, and then the amount LP investment tokens for your chosen package.
Then there is the LP investment token, or bTUNES, sale. Investors will be able to purchase the tokens directly from the store or they can visit the DAO and purchase them from there. More on this later in the post.
US residents are restricted due to stupid US SEC regulations... BUT... if you are a sophisticated investor by our standards, which means you know how to use a VPN and pay with crypto, then we won't stop you... Just saying... NOT FINANCIAL ADVISE!!! bTUNES LP tokens are the investment tokens that will follow the total value locked in the DAO. These tokens are sold individually, in whole token increments, on the store and can be paid for with any of our payment options. The tokens can also be purchased directly from the DAO using BUSD at a cost of 15 BUSD each. Tokens purchased directly from the DAO can be purchased in fractional increments.
For any of the token purchases from the store, you will need to provide a BSC wallet address to send your tokens. If you decide to pay with credit or debit card through Stripe, we will ALSO need your billing information. If you want to remain anonymous, then you don't need to pay in fiat...

This one has been a dream in the making for some time now, lol.

We already have some farms operating inside the DAO and another one outside that is going to help feed it once we have some extra. Right now the outside farms are going to pay for server fees, gas fees for DAO transactions, and attempting to build a marketing fund. Eventually we will be using some DAO funds for this as well with DAO votes and such, but for now we are trying to build.
Hoping to offer dividends after the first couple of years, but for now we are looking long term and are in a major growth phase for now.
But really it's about investing in the future of the music industry on the blockchain! We are hoping to build tools to allow musicians to take better control over their work!
Even if you don't get the package and have a governance vote, you can purchase bTUNES tokens which is the LP investment token in the DAO. Think of those as stock shares.
This is very relevent to my interests, I am very interested in the publication of music NFTs and so far have had my eye on MusicForLife(VIBES) and Beatzchain) in this regard. I uploaded my first animated NFT using HiveMeme instead of NFTshowroom although I do have a small collection there. The big NFT issue that we are going to want to face immediately, is that basically an NFT is just a link to a treasure, a map not the actual treasure itself. So how do we enable NFTs to be the key to the treasure, rather than a tulip? The whole LP token - dao concept is good progress towards the "use case" aspect, but when most NFTs are just jpegs that can be stolen, how do we enable users to get real benefits from the digital token itself, that others can't just copy or steal? For example, counterfeit NFTs can be created simply by using the same ipfs destination address as used in the original. My question then is how do we make holding the NFT unlock the benefits?
I have thought about how I would want to release an album as an NFT or a series of NFTs and my imagination shows me possibilities that I wish I could code. Currently because we are putting this info on a blockchain, anyone can see the NFT content and buying it just adds it to the user's collection. What if for example, a Hive user buys an album, but then the user is given access to login with their memo key to decrypt an embedded encrypted file. Then you could "watch" the album on a website and download the mp3s which you bought.
We can't really stop users from stealing the music, but maybe we can change the experience and make it cool and fun to buy these albums. Buying an album or solo tracks using NFTs and unwrapping them like you would open a physical album, "claiming" them like rewards. Maybe when users open albums they get some extra tokens for unwrapping the pack. Built in perks that cannot be ripped from the blockchain, but require users to (easily) claim with a code or Hive login post-purchase.
NFTs should be more than just an image. They should be a key. And further benefits from holding the NFT should go to the artist and the holders. In some cases, once a user buys an album they should keep it forever. They can login and listen to all the albums they hold on the app or site using Hive. Only they can see, requiring memo key. If you can browse others pages they should only see the preview content that is in the public nft, ie seeing others album collection but you have to buy to unlock it.
What do you think? This is some of what I would like to be able to do.
We will be using NFTs for royalty free use licenses, creator copyrights, etc. It's not just about the digital images. It's about so much more. We can also mint and sell things like rare editions, live performances, etc to sell as collectibles that people can resell and trade. Although people may be able to access the file itself, doesn't mean they will have to right to reproduce or resell it.
We are not only trying to tokenize music, but also the reproduction rights, etc. That is where the real use cases for NFTs are going to be put into play.
This platform is also not really using Hive for NFT purposes just yet. Will be using the Hivelist NFT marketplace if anything. We will be using Binance Smart Chain and Polygon more for these purposes. Eventually if we can get the funds to build our own outpost with NFT marketplace, then we will go at it then on Hive, but for now we are working with other chains on this. The cool thing about BSC and Polygon is that is cross chainable with Hive by using SWAP tokens on Hive Engine.
The key to keeping the files and such safe is to use unlockable files, but right now, Hivelist market doesn't have that. The only one I know of on Hive is NFTShowroom, and then on Opensea. I am working to find a solution for this on the BSC collections on Blocktunes, but haven't found a great way yet. Well, I kind of have, but it relies on using the Wordpress/Woocommerce side of things, which could work, but is pretty centralized, but it would work for the case of music.
We are working on getting @groove-logic 's stuff up as a demo so people will see how we are looking at setting things up. Just trying to figure out the minting on sell part of it on BSC...
But the big focus I am wanting to make is the DAOs that artists will be able to set up. Being able to invest in an artist can be an impactful thing for musicians. All of that is coming and is in the works.
