I've been struggling with my Zone 2 training.
I have too many other important things happening right now to give it the time and attention I'd like.
And since I slept poorly again last night I thought I'd make life easy for myself and just "run easy", based on feel, and hide my watch under a neck buff.
I was happy to see that I could jog the entire 5 km, up and down many hills, without stopping to walk once.
Maybe it's the part of my (menstrual) cycle I'm but cruising slowly up even the biggest hill was totally doable.
I recorded the activity (of course) and looking at it now I'm stoked to see that my average heart rate was only ONE BEAT above the top of my Zone 2.
Check it out! 👇
(For reference: My Zone 2 range is currently 117-136 bpm.)
Fun hey?
Oh yeah. Also, it rained a LOT overnight and right before parkrun so it was wet, wet, wet!
Thanks Garmin Connect for stats and graphs and @new.things for the photo of me crossing the creek... and getting my feet totally saturated... 200 metres into the run. 😂😂😂
