not flat not slow [Exhaust Running Report, August 11th 2020]

Yesterday last meal on the menu, today after lunch time. The run.

Did I tell you I am not planning these things? Yes, I did -> late late run run [Exhaust Running Report, August 10th 2020]

Anyways, I dreamed of easy and flat 10 K run after the work. When I came out of the gate I somehow made a first short climb. Then I steered into the Magpie's valley and off the asphalt road. I even found some trails. Self-surprised, I started to climb up into the village Rašica. Above the village I decided that enough is enough. I will return on the asphalt road and all the way down.

Here was the turning point. Forward to the top of the hill or back down the road? Back it was.

After running a good kilometer downhill I realized that taking the road all the way back was a bit too much. So I turned sharply into the woods and up again.After some good forest trail running I found myself down in the valley and on the same path I took in the beginning. I knew how to return home then.

It was a really enjoyable run. Longer than anticipated, less hot, more pleasant. Good.

Let me check how much longer would the run be if I would have stayed on the road. 1.4 kilometers. Not much longer. I'll do it next time to train the asphalt and downhill running. Sometimes it is necessary to surprise the muscles groups which are dormant most of the time.
