Description from Strava:
I said yesterday that I did not sleep well on Friday night. Last night I watched some TV and went to bed about 10:30. I slept through to 8:30, so I obviously needed to catch up. Sunday is the only day I do not set an alarm. My legs were feeling a bit stiff, but I still wanted to run.

It was cool out there, but nice really. I was intending to see how I felt and was not certain on my route, but I made the usual start up the hill to Fairfield. I decided to head out on the Greenway, but that did mean tackling the big hill. The path down to the stream was not too muddy, but then the climb began. Actually it was not too bad and I ran all the way up. I have done it a lot quicker, but that is okay. I took the photo looking back from the top.

Then it was over to the Grange rec where Letchworth parkrun happens. I ran down to where they start and it was pretty muddy there as there has been a lot of heavy construction traffic around the lanes. There were bits of mud scattered all along the lane to the main road. I had to dodge those to avoid tripping. All good for the general agility.

It is uphill a bit into Stotfold. I took the back road there and decided to carry on towards Astwick to pick up the track across the fields. That means running on a road a bit, but there is very little traffic there. There were a lot of people out walking their dogs though and I saw a few other runners. I expect some people I know were out and about.

I took all the detours in Arlesey to stretch it out to 15km and I am happy with that as I initially expected it to be 12 or 13. This did mean that breakfast was quite late and I have things to do today.

Run free and have a good week.

Winter is beautiful in all its barrenness

It's a lovely area around there. I've still not found any decent track routes to walk from here - well those that are easily accessible from the house.

I've managed to find a replacement now I'm unable to "plod" like I used to. I'm around a month into getting into swimming again and have been going twice a week assuming time has allowed. I think I've only missed two trips once due to a trip to Lincoln to see my uncle in hospital.

Just like the plodding, I thoroughly enjoy it and actively want to go. I'd bloody go daily if time allowed!

I'm lucky to have a good selection of routes directly from home. I really don't want to have to drive somewhere to run.

Hope it goes well with your workouts.

15kms now, huh?

Well done! 👏

Yeah. I do what feels right for me. It took a long time to get to this stage.

I know. When I first joined you were under 3 miles or something and recovering from an injury if I remember correctly

Look at you now! :)

I have a full log of all my running on here. I should look back to see how I was doing

Might be a very inspirational journey for others. 👍
