I really appreciate what you have done with this app as it makes it so easy to create a Hive post from an activity. Services like Strava will set conditions on what you can do with the data and we need ways to work with that. I am not too worried about having rewards from your app as I do okay on Hive.
I know a lot of people are using AI tools to create apps so I hope that has made life easier for you.
I do wonder about some possible privacy options that people may want:
- This may not be relevant if you are removing maps, but Strava let you set privacy zones so you could make your home location less obvious. The maps you included did not take that into account.
- Some people may not want the link to Strava as their account may contain more details than they want to expose on the blockchain.
- People may want to put notes on an activity without it being picked up so it ought to be possible to opt out by including a special tag or something like that.
I am just thinking of some reasons why people might not want to use this service. Adding thing like training tips could be cool. Is that something else for AI? Strava does it in their app.
Thanks again.

Hey @steevc thanks again for all your support, it's great having someone like yourself using the service. The points you make are pretty valid, especially the privacy concerns. My goal was to actually set up something like this app, FitPub where it could be self hosted and people add in the activities they want, to then generate a post in Hive. It's might be something I might look at next. I didn't have enough time to get this working before Strava started making restrictions. It would help with privacy and people wanting to only post what they wanted.
I'm just not sure if people will like moving there activities to the app, and thats the good thing about having Strava kind of do it automaically. It might be worth also adding in an "Opt In" option at registration that people can have there activity link posted or not.
Let me know if you have any more thoughts.
