Greetings friends in #HiveGhana, happy weekend and welcome to my blog. I love this weekly contest topics they are insteresting topics to write on and immediately i came across it, i was determine to choose to write on this topic for better for worse. Which for better for worse is a no no for me and shouldn't be implemented. Rather it should be for better for better and for richer for richer.
Marriage is a union between husband and wife and at the alter, they took their marital vows, for better for worse without some couples not having a deeper knowledge of the vow some. Marriage is a commitment so before they get married, they should have undergo courtship from get to know each other well and ask some required questions. Nowadays some marriages don't even last for 1year, i have seen a marriage that ended the same day, no commitment.
In marriage there are certain things that can lead to divorce or end the marriage,
Violence in the home be it physical or emotional abuse
cheating or infertility between partners,
Lack of communication between the partners whereby they hardly talk to each other maybe because of distance ( people on long distance relationship) which without quality communication, the marriage might not last
Lack of money can cause or end a marriage where the partner can not provide for the family and lack of respect to each other.
Maybe where the wife doesn't respects or regards the husband that can bring separation.
Addicted to drugs or hard substance by any of parner and refusal to stop or avoid take to treatment might cause separation.
Above all the points i listed that can separate marriage and why for better for worse for shouldn't be implemented or made compulsory in marriage, i love to will be elaborate more on violence and cheating.
A home where there is violence, they wher they are always fighting, they abuse,no freedom, and one is living in fear and the wife is being beating every time, the woman dont have a say in the home. There's nothing like for better for worse there. This days some women will be scared to leave their marriage because of some religion practices, for not putting their family to shame and what the world will say and prefer to stay in the marriage and die in silence. Many women have lost their life because of violence, physical and mental abuse in name of for better for worse. When the person dies, the family will be seeking for justice after die. That is medicine after death.
In marriage where the partner cheats on themselves, having an affair outside the marriage. For instance, where the husband brings in another woman into the matrimonial home or the wife suspect any kind of infidelity, that marriage should ends that day. This is not about cheating back on him no. If its me, God forbid which will not happen, i will file for a divorce one hand and Its is not even a matter of for better for worse, no it's not. Who implemented that, Partners should respect their home and themselves.
In conclusion, Marriage is honourable and unique no doubt, but it shouldn't be one sided relationship, there should be communication, love, trust, respect and commitment for the marriage stand and grow. I will advise once in a while partners should go for counselling or therapy for their mental well being. And when the marriage its getting worse, the should part way and know when to separate. Marriage is not a do or die.

To succeed in marriage, you need deeper knowledge of the word of God.
For better for worse used in some churches while uniting couples is not from God, but instituted by men .
God is love and Has no sorrow in Him, and with Him.
