I respect your position, but not your logic. I do not know the state of sex education in your country, but in America it is archaic and pathetic. Abortion needs to be an informed choice that starts with appropriate sex education early and often. Studies show that a woman who understands her body stands a far better chance of making informed choices about it.
Abortion is a surgery, and all surgeries carry a level of risk. A psychological impact will occur, but is lessened by accurate knowledge, which can lead to eliminating the societal shame cast on women choosing that procedure.
I have counseled young women choosing abortion. Not to dissuade them, but to provide the information and resources they should know, and the mental support services they deserve.
I also strongly believe that the man involved must be financially liable for supporting the woman and child if abortion is denied, regardless of the man's age.
I personally do not like the idea of abortion, but without ensuring complete care for the mother and child, I have no say in a pregnant woman's decision.
