What a journey it has been with Wells For All, and empowering with Hive! The empowerment program evolved from "Hive Empowers Communities" into something much greater and larger than I could have ever imagined...today it has birth what we call "WellsForAll". We experienced many challenges early on that were reflective of the challenges found in many Ghanaian communities. However, instead of running from them, we chose to run towards them and utilize them as a foundation for the empowerment focus we developed.
Within this empowerment program, we conducted many initiatives and outreach programs (health outreach programs, educational programs, etc.) and provided clean and safe drinking water to communities through boreholes funded by Hive. With the help of Hive, we have built several boreholes that have positively impacted the lives of countless individuals and empowered their respective communities. Our work and impacts has not just been limited to Hive, but also have been shown in international conferences and media paltforms for others to see.
The ultimate goal was never to onboard new members through it. It was about demonstrating how tokenization and blockchain technology can be used to bring about real change in people's lives. Today, Hive represents a real-world model of how blockchain technology can be utilized to drive positive change and impact in the lives of individuals.
As such, we are excited to continue to pursue this mission and plan to reach the milestone of completing our 25th borehole by the end of the year. Maintaining our current pace of work has not been simple but we are proud of the number of lives that have been positively impacted thus far. If the project came to a halt here, we would still feel confident that we have had a significant, lasting and impactful presence... leaving behind physical structures that will benefit communities for many years to come.
@mcsamm, myself and the rest of the team are continuing to seek out additional funding partners and expand the impact of our program each and every day. As stated previously, our vision extends far beyond the blockchain and we are committed to creating a sustainable future for generations to come.
