Experiences make up a part of our human existence. Daily, we are faced with some sort of experiences, from one thing to another. The fact that we live; we breathe in and out, we are certain to find and create experiences through our own lives directly or that of others. It is a part of human life.
Pivotal to our human relationships and even growth are the experiences we gain. But these experiences go beyond lessons for life, some are held as lifelong memories owing to something they made us feel in their occurrences. This is why today, there are things we can remember vividly well, though they might have happened years ago, yet they seem like yesterday. Fresh in our memories.
It is worth mentioning that a person's experience could either encourage and strengthen them or deter them in life. We have heard stories of how some people grew up with some childhood trauma, which rewinds and continuously plays in their minds, haunting and hurting them. Perhaps, they had an ugly childhood experience that led to that.
On the other hand, some could have such a beautiful experience that they hold on to it, and in moments of despair, it refreshes and lightens them up. With that, they become braced up and encouraged to face life. Such is the power of experiences; unforgettable ones especially. They tend to have a gripping effect depending on the situation.
I have had several life experiences. Of course, like everyone. Life is full of experiences that we don't get to escape. The good and the bad ones if I may term it this way. Nevertheless, I try not to dwell on the ones I shouldn't, but then they can remain unforgettable. This experience I wish to share is a beautiful and unforgettable one; it will remain in my memories.
My days in high school left me with a lot of memories. From some annoying ones to others that leave me smiling. My memory will have to try hard to forget some of them. One of those beautiful experiences was on the speech and prize-giving day. My English teacher then said it is just “speech day” though-chuckles.
A day like that is one I wouldn't forget. From wearing the gowns proudly to taking pictures, it is a beautiful experience to look back on. What added flavour to the experience was that we were supposed to be in white shirts, and without a cohesive decision, we went on to appear in the same kind of white shirt which has now become the standard in my school.
When I look at the graduation events of the preceding sets, and how they adapted the pattern, it reminds me of my own day too. Not just the day, but those who I celebrated the day with. I have not seen a good number of them since that day which makes it more of an experience to cherish and hold unforgettable.
It didn't end without receiving a prize. When I remember all of that and then this, I can't seem to forget the experience and the feeling. My brain will always carry this in its memory
Images are mine.
You just reminded me of some senior high school memories. I wonder how it was for some people not to forget or want to forget. If I get the opportunity to erase any memories. It’ll definitely be them.
Yeah. The memories can be good or bad.
Thank you.
