The year is coming to an end already. One would imagine that. It looks like a quick year or so, with a lot of happenings in it, and there's much to say and think of. One thing that remains is that I'm grateful to have made it to the year and to have come thus far. That's something that stands for me even in the midst of several experiences.
Of course, I've had several experiences within the year. Some that marked a stage in life and others that were achievements and the like. However, there are those experiences that leave me wondering if I could go back in time and never live them or if I could unsee and unhear of such things. Some were not really personal, but they were unpleasant things.
Several things could be said to characterise the year. From good to bad, highs and lows, right and wrong. All of these experiences are on a personal and public or general level. I've learnt to be grateful for all but I've also seen unfortunate things that left marks. Several unfortunate incidents made it seem so.
While I've had some unfortunate circumstances, there are good moments. The ones that hit my mind most as the unpleasant and unfortunate experiences of this year are with regard to the happenings in my country. Anyone conversant with the happenings around the world will know that a lot is happening within the walls of the supposed “giants of Africa.”
A lot has happened, and is still happening that leaves the year an unpleasant memory when you look back on these things. Bad leadership and corruption have given rise to a lot of nuances and non-health epidemics, leaving many citizens suffering from the effects. All of that leaves those who dwell within with unpalatable experiences.
It has been about hardship. How the cost of living has become difficult for the living. Many might not understand but one who had a taste of this or experienced it through the lens of the victims would know better. I listen to the rants, the complaints and look at the destitute nature of many of the people, which leaves me feeling not so good.
As if that wasn't enough, the insecurity which had bedevilled the nation took a huge rise sometime within the year. The news that filled our media spaces was always about one attack after another. Barely before one settles another rises. It has been a constant tide that seemed to be sweeping against the people in full force.
These experiences leave me appalled. For me, this is something I don't want to hear or see, not in this life or the next. It has caused a lot of sorrows and concerns to many of which I feel that as well. These are not really personal experiences but they cap off as events that mark a not-so-great experience this year. Of course, there are good things to see and say, but these leave me with a frown and not a smile when thought about.

I heard of the attack and was so sad but I heard the girls who were abducted have been brought back, which made me happy. I can’t even imagine what their families went through.
As for the cost of living, it’s even a miracle that we are still going strong with how everything keeps shooting up in weeks(except salaries, of course)
Yes, I heard that too. And it's a relief at least. Seriously, I can't imagine what the families went through. It's an unpleasant experience for sure.
I can't explain that, so I see it as a miracle as well. Hopefully, things get better. Hopefully!

So sorry about the situation of your country Italy it's not good too but not as high level of corruption and epidemic in the population it's horrible when the government don't take care of the citizens!!!
