Yours is the second post about this topic (the other post was a while ago) and I'm surprised to be honest. I don't know how kinds in Nigeria are brought up, but paying bills, working and cost of life in general should not be a surprise or shocking when you get to adulthood. Yes, it's hard to make ends meet, but as a teenager, one should know this is coming. Anyway, I hope you can find a balance.

It's because of the way we were brought up, we are mostly dependent on our parent till after college, not for all of us though, and Nigerian parents are very over protective of their children, keeping them away from the reality of life for too long. This is my personal experience though, some others got to face the reality of adulthood earlier on, mostly due to poverty not by choice.
