Not So Great Experiences
Some experiences happened this year that were not so great but in the end we are grateful that we are able to live and sustain our lives. This year was filled with chaos and instability in different areas and sectors of life.
My country Nigeria, had a great share of disaster happening here and there causing economic unrest amongst citizens. Everything was just upside down kind of this year but some people were able to make a good living out of it.
Nonetheless, no fellow Nigeria would say that the situation in the country did not affect them in one way or the order be it insecurity, economic hardship and so on.
One of the not so great experiences this year is the fact that goods and services tripled their prices this year making it difficult for people to continue the kind of lifestyle they wish to live because the kind of money they make is not sufficient enough to sustain it as it used to be before.
For instance, i went to a supermarket to get some stuffs for myself and on getting there I realized that what we bought for 3K last month has doubled its price and is selling for 5K now. The issue is the quantity did not increase the quality is still the same so I wonder why these products would just increase their prizes by 200% but when you consider the entirety of production you would realize that from production to Logistics and distribution things are no longer on the cheap side.
The issue of spending more as a salary earner monthly income is still the same but goods and services have increased in prices is definitely not a greatest experience for them this year.
Institutions and organizations ought to consider their staffs in mind based on how the economic situation of their country is but greediness has taken over and they do not care about the world fair of their staff.
In conclusion, the disappointment I get when I have to alter my budget because of price change is not nice or comfortable at all, now we have to forgo certain things just to have a particular thing.
