I haven’t had it smoothly in my interest to onboard friends, family, and even strangers to the Hive Blockchain. Some would just come to have their names registered on the platform and then run away with one ridiculous reason or another.
Among the moments, the one that still touches me down to my bones till today is the one involving a friend I expected to take things seriously because he’s far older than me and badly in need of money, judging from the complaints he gave me. When we were about to start, after all my explanations, all he could say was that he didn’t have a data subscription. What! This is the same person who never goes offline on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram; he views all statuses on WhatsApp with ease. So, I told him that if he didn’t have data, he just needed to cut down his time on other social media platforms in terms of data consumption so as to concentrate on the platform that’s beneficial since he’s not earning from any of those social media apps. But hell no, it didn’t work with him. He chose to squander his data subscription on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram instead of here (the Hive platform). I didn’t disturb him further; I just let him be. It was obvious he wasn’t ready from the start.
Another one on my list was the lady who trivialized earning $1 per day.
“You mean I’ll earn just $1 a day?”
That was the question she asked that made me lose interest completely in continuing with her. She wasn’t expecting to earn less than $10 per post daily, and that was surprising to me because she doesn’t earn online, neither does she have any tangible source of income in her daily life. So, I wonder where she got the boldness to expect $10 from me, meanwhile I, who was guiding her, barely earn $1 per post. Her words made me believe that she wasn’t really interested. Although I tried to proceed with her, she eventually lost interest too and made it look as if I was begging her to join—probably to earn from referral gains—meanwhile, there’s nothing like referral gains here except if I wanted to set her account to add me as a beneficiary, which isn’t ideal.
These and many more are the experiences that have made me chuckle, laugh, and wave off the interest of continuing with others. In terms of registering members, I’ve done up to 30, and just a few of them decided to take it seriously. That makes me feel like a bad teacher, and I feel the pain anytime I think of it, but I also wave it off because it’s not my fault—many of them weren’t interested from the start.

You see those people who waste their time watching on other social media without being paid are the ones who would underestimate such a platform like this. Just imagine! You don't have anything doing and you saw one, still complaining. I don't even waste my time on those people oo. They find it convenient to waste data on social media without earning than doing something productive.

Almost all the people I tried to onboard, they're the tiktok freaked and burn a lot of data and some of them come around to beg for data. God abeg 😂

We should just not give up, we can be a life changing turning point for some people which will really pay back.

The lady friend you mentioned has too high expectations. If truly she wants that much, then she should be ready to put in more effort
