Hive meetup in Krakow.

I recently attended a Hive meetup in Kraków, Poland, organised by the incredible @mynewlife and his team, and I was blown away. From the moment I received the invitation, I knew this meetup would be meaningful and it absolutely was. This meetup was a gathering of an awesome collective of Hive users and blockchain enthusiasts, who all wanted to meet each other and share thoughts about the power of the growing Hive ecosystem.

One of the key features of the meetup was that it allowed each attendee an opportunity to ask some relevant questions and learn more about the significant projects taking place across the Hive ecosystem. I was especially honoured that I could share more about the Hive borehole water initiative in Ghana. To share the stories, the statistics themselves, and most importantly, how, in real life, these statistics have made a difference, wowing many of the attendees. What I found to be most interesting was that there was a genuine question of interest around how blockchain could be used to change lives in rural African communities and that to me made the whole experience worth it.

What made the meeting even more beautiful was the unity of spirit felt at @krolestwo . We had gathered to watch a documentary about the Ghana Water Project, and we shared in the pride of where Hive had evolved to in connecting technology with social good. After the film, we played games, which managed to have everyone laughing, bonding, and relaxing. These light-hearted moments help offbalance the powerful conversation, which made the meetup equally fun and informative.

The energy in the room was a great one. You could feel the warmth, the curiosity, and the desire to do more. Personally, I was so excited and embracing the positive energy that I truly didn’t want to return home. It is not often I find a rare experience of equal parts learning, sharing, and genuine fun. For me, I left with more motivation than ever to continue on the journey of good through Hive.

The meetup reinforced my realisation of the need to create spaces, in real life, for people to connect. Meeting faces, hearing voices, and sharing experiences outside the screen are a large part of who we are and bring us together as a global Hive community. Hive is not only a platform. Hive is a family, and with meetups like this, we can continue to nurture that family.

I truly believe every Hive user and Hive advocate should consider organising meetups. Regardless of the size, in-person meetups can be meaningful moments to encourage and inspire each other, understand more about the power of blockchain, and create bridges across cultures and geographical borders. The Kraków meetup was an awesome display of this, and I'm so thankful to have been a part of it.

To @mynewlife and everyone else who made this event possible, thank you! And a big hug to the greater Hive community. May we continue to create connection, understanding, and meaningful moments. The world still needs to hear about what we are building together.

Hive is more than a platform, it's a family, those of us who have attended Hive meetups can testify about this. Glad you made it @mcsamm, and the fact that you were able to connect, socialise and share about the impactful work Hive has done in Ghana with the borehole projects. I guess everyone that watched Hive water project documentary was inspired. Happy to know about all the great work @mynewlife and the team put together that made the event successful.

It was a beautiful session.

Using Kahoot for an event like this is an awesome idea!

We have a meet up every month in Adelaide, Australia. I haven't been in a few - but as an open invitation to the world - last Thursday of every month - Adelaide, Australia - The Duke of Brunswick Hotel. its very informal, casual, and we normally all order a meal or have a few drinks, and chat for a few hours.

207 Gilbert St, Adelaide SA 5000, Australia.

6PM Onwards, last Thursday of every month. :)

And I can't wait to join you guys some day. My love for Hive and blockchain meetups grows each day, and I am super excited to connect with Hive families all over the world.

I will like to be a part of the future meetups

This is so cool. I’ve read a lot about their community there which I’d love to see established here in England or something similar. I truly believe that in person gatherings are as important as far we do here on the chain itself.
