There is something unique in the view of the surroundings as they look from above. Everything in the aerial pictures seems to take on a new significance. the beauty, the plan, the relationship of everything one with another and the steps leading out of the various houses which are given by the narrow streets of life.
I took them not long ago. My aerial cameras took some pictures of a section of a community where there was a train station, and the view was a splendid one. This is one of the opportunities in which we can see how interesting and beautiful we can make our human settlements appear when expressed from a different level of experience.
In each of the houses there was the fusion of the ecology surrounding each so that the roof of each represented a pattern that is to be appreciated only by a view from above. The lines of the railroads, the trees in their vicinity and the minor activities of the people below were all alive by the vitality that it brought of feeling into the activities of life. It was like looking at one of the paintings of the great colourists in their realisation and presentation.
I have always liked to take photographs and to get the beauty of the life surrounding me before setting out on my exeat in the world of beauty, and with the use of aerial photography, the range of seeing thereof ascends to a different level. I see the things not only for their colour and form but also for the story which the incidents of the life living in each corner of life and each tiny act of motion which surrounds me tell.
The results of the view from above amuse me every time. The harmony, the vitality, and the beauty of the ways we got together on this tiny planet drive home to us our interrelationship with one another. These aerial photographs are more than photographs themselves. They are views of life, unity, and beauty on the canvas for us to contemplate.
