Friendships are an important part of life. No individual is an island. We all need friends. It's crucial for survival.
I can't imagine what life would be like without friendships. Friendship makes life worth it. Friends are willing to do things for you that others wouldn't do. Still, they do it without asking for anything back.
In every aspect of life, friends are invaluable. For those starting a business, they need their friends to spread word about their business, patronize the business, and even bring customers. For students, friends help eachother with assignments, they help each other with studying, and even when one person can't make it to class, the friend can cover for that person.
When someone gets into trouble, the friend is the one that comes to the rescue after family. In fact, in a lot of cases, friends become like family.
Even people who claim they don't need anyone, still need friends. They need that connection. They can't go through life alone. Every one needs the emotional and moral support that comes with friendship.
Some people have standards for making friends. For others, it just flows. For me, it's both.
When I see someone that meets my friendship career, we naturally become friends. We just relate easily.
Let me talk about some of my friendship standards.
For someone to be my friend, that person must be an honest person. Honesty is important to me. I don't want a friend who delights in telling me lies, or even tell lies about me to others.
The thing about honesty is that it promotes trust. Trust is absolutely crucial in any friendship.
I appreciate a friend who is honest with me at all times. When I'm wrong, that friend can honestly tell me that I'm wrong. The person doesn't just have to be honest with me. They have to be honest with others. It should be a character.
It's easier to trust an honest person.
Another friendship criteria for me is responsibility. I prefer making friends with people who are responsible. Responsible friends are reliable friends.
A friend who takes responsibility for their actions will always be a great kind of friend. I've always believed that your friends influence you.
When you have friends who are responsible, it rubs off on you too.
Making friends who are responsible and honest is crucial because such friends will have your back. They are the kind of friends you can depend on when it matters.
When I come across someone who meets my friendship criteria, we naturally connect. The friendship happens easily. There's no forcing it.
Having like minded friends is always a positive. They help you to be better everyday and vice versa.
That is the good thing about friendships. You grow with your friend. They inspire you and you inspire them. They help you and you help them. Life is always better with friends, especially the friends that meet your standards.
So once again, I'll say that for me, it's easier to flow with someone who meets my standard for friendship.
It's impossible to trust a dishonest person and friendship with such person will be non profitable so it's best to make good choices of friendship.
