When I joined hive, I never thought I could write freely. I never thought I could write and have fun.
Hive has made me write more and better.
I've not always been one that writes. Its something that I found difficult. I took a big step and started to write on hive. At first it wasn't easy but I'm starting to love it. I'm used to it now and writing is how I express myself.
I write and let my thoughts flow. It helps to boost my creativity. It feels good being this creative. On hive, I get to bring my imagination to life. I also get to tell my life story and share things about myself. I love that hive let's me explore my creativity.
I never thought I could just write things online, but thanks to hive, it's possible.
Another thing I didn't think was possible for me was getting involved in crypto. Now, it has been made possible with hive. I had an almost zero knowledge of crypto before now. It seemed vague to me. I didn't understand it. Now, I'm starting to get a grasp of crypto. I know the different types of crypto. I know about blockchains like hive. I've seen how unique Blockchain technology is and the many things it can be used for.
I've also learnt quite a lot about the web3 ecosystem. I have learnt about NFTs. It looked like the NFT time has passed but I think it is gradually making a comeback. I now know that Bitcoin is the main coin, and the others are called altcoins. I also know about memecoins. Memecoins don't really have any utility backing them, but people take advantage of the volatility to make money, even though there are chances of losing money too.
There are stablecoins too. I think the crypto market really needs stablecoins. In times of high volatility, especially on the downside, people can just swap to stablecoins and not have to worry about price fluctuations. I believe most in crypto either hold some stablecoins or have held stablecoins in the past. The dangerous thing about stablecoins though is that they are pegged to something, and if somehow they depeg, people lose a lot of money.
The other altcoins like Eth and Solana are popular after bitcoin. They are also valuable because they have a lot of utility and solid backing.
Eth for example is the token of the Ethereum blockchain, just like HIVE is the token of the hive blockchain. There are a lot of popular Layer 2 chains built on Ethereum which is a layer 1. This makes Eth more valuable.
A similar thing applies to hive. There are several platforms built on hive like games, frontends, dapps. This makes hive a good store of value.
As you can see, my crypto knowledge has gotten better and I never imagined that I would get to this level. I'm really grateful for it.
