Three years and counting, I have been a part of the Hive blockchain. In my decade of using social media, I haven't yet seen any social media as Hive - so sophisticated, yet simple to accommodate the elite and unschooled, skilled and unskilled, rich and poor, and without biases for gender, race or tribe. Hive is quite very inclusive for all.
Built on a scalable technology, Hive Blockchain is elastic. The more the load on it, the more it expands and still accommodates all with diverse utility, products and services.
I started Hive as a content creator and did stick to that for the first year and few months. My quest to engage and learn more opened me up to more communities and people from whom I learnt that beyond just being social to earn, we can put our money to work for us on Hive, better still, reinvest a part if not all of our posting rewards. As I made my first investment attempt, I discovered that there are more.

I am sure that I've not been able to taste up to 20% of the investment possibilities on Hive Blockchain. However, I would be sharing a few I'm informed about and perhaps experienced.
1. Hive Power
Hive Power (HP) is the staking of liquid. It is influence score of the Hive Blockchain. HIVE can be powered up (staked) instantly through a HIVE wallet or the Keychain Extension. When powered up, liquid $HIVE becomes locked in and converts to HIVE Power, which increases your voting power and resource credits on the blockchain. Hive power can be unlocked in a process known as powerdown over 13 weeks.
Growing HP is the most basic form of investment on Hive. The system allows that to happen naturally for content creators such that 50% of author rewards are auto staked for the user. Liquid Hive can also be purchased in the exchange and powered up. The value of growing Hive Power (HP) may look insignificant untill it was done during the bear season and the bull market happens.
Increased Hive Power also allows the hive users' votes to carry greater weight. Presently , Hive Power investment attracts approximately 10% annual interest. A user who holds Hive power can also participate in governance vote for DAO reward sharing.
I had built my Hive power to some highs and during a peak market when I had need for cash, I powered down and it served a lot. At that point, the returns was more than 10% APY since the price had gone 3x up. It must be understood that $Hive is volatile and the prices can fluctuate either high or low.
2 . Hive Dollar Savings
This is an awesome recent investment development that is most reliable as it has to do with the stablecoin of the Hive Blockchain. Hive Dollars (HBD) is primarily earned as 50% of author post reward. HBD can also be obtained by converting Hive or purchasing in an exchange.
HBD savings is the the locking of HBD on Hive blockchain for as long as the user desires. It comes with 20% APY and saved HBD can be unlocked in 3 days. HBD saving rewards are paid out daily in HBD. Hive Dollar savings is a very sustainable and less-risky investment option on Hive blockchain.

Recently I've been interested in Splinterlands play to earn game where I earn cryptocurrencies for playing video games. A player is expected to buy card NFTs and other digital assets in the Splinterlands game, use them for advantageous performances in the battles, and subsequently, more rewards.
