My First half of 2024: My Expectations for the Second half of 2024.

in HiveGhanalast year

Hello everyone,
I would like to say a big thank you @hiveghana for the challenge this week. This is going to be my first post after my introductory post. We all go through a lot as humans. Some happiness, some sadness, some pain, and other emotions and with all these there’s a story behind it.

As we all have bid farewell to the first half of the year, I would like to share with you my experiences and my expectations of the second half.

First half of 2024:
The year started with me coming back to school in January and being in my final year level 400 in the university I just knew it was not going to be easy. But I knew somehow, I had to pull through. Going for lectures was tough because we were doing something called the block system where after having lectures for two week you write exams. I loved it all right because it was easier to study but did not like it at the same time because with such a system you can easily fail an exam. January, February, and March were all about going for lectures and writing exams.

In the month of April, we had one of our assessments that was going to add to our qualifications to register for our licencial exams. On the day it was my turn, I was so nervous because as a midwifery student, it was compulsory to do all the necessary procedures for that assessment. I had all these negative thoughts in my head about failing and not passing the assessment and stuffs, but I was encouraged by my close friend to quit all those unnecessary thoughts because they only bring you down. He told me to have confidence and do it. And I did and God being so good I passed.

May and June also were filled with bad happening. Hearing information about my dad falling ill and my financial status too was down. I just felt down. I felt like I could not do anything. To add to all these were lectures of our final exams. I was excited about it. This will mean no more classes. Fun!!! That also means I had to put in my all. more stress!!! But I did it. Together with my colleagues we all did it. We finished. we wrote our last paper with smile on our face. One of the interesting things that happened in June for me was that I got the opportunity to attend Hive empower project where I got to learn a lot and it is through that I am here today. I am so grateful to be here on Hive and I will continue to do my best.

Second half of 2024:
As June ended and we entered a new month July, I thought back to the beginning of the year, my aims, and ambitions I set. Whether I was able to achieve any and I realized not. But I did manage to start with one and I am hoping I continue to do it. I have a lot of things I would like to do, and I know that bits by bits I will be able to achieve.

To what lies ahead of me that is my licencial exams, I’m going to learn hard for it so that at the end I come out with flying colors.

As humans, we learn from our mistakes to make us grow stronger and wiser. If you know where your strength is build on it to become stronger and if you know where your weakness is take up the challenge and work on that.
