EXPERIENCES OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN HOSPITALS

in HiveGhana3 months ago

When it comes to poor customer service, I would have to say some University offices if that counts. During my final year clearance, we submitted our project work for a plagiarism test and were told to go to an office to get the necessary receipt. I got to the office and I met people outside, the lady in charge left her office and was busily chatting with her other Co-worker.

We waited outside for more than an hour, a lady was so angry and went to talk to the woman that people were waiting outside. She told her to go home and that she wouldn't be attending to her. She continued interacting with her Co-worker and later she came to attend to us.

That aside, have you been to a federal hospital before? well, one doesn't pray to go to a federal hospital in an emergency. Their customer service is so bad, from the place of payment to the doctors, and nurses. It's not easy, though, attending to several people, but they should at least be devoted and also try to be fair in their various offices. I have seen situations where people are brought in for an emergency and are not attended to, and they die just like that with no effort made to help, they didn't even get to be examined.

There are nice nurses but some of them behave as if they are possessed, my apologies, but the way some nurses talk with no empathy makes me wonder if they were forced into their line of work. Then finally, you meet the doctor, and they tell you to come to the private hospital they are partnering with to run the test or to their clinic. They will charge you a huge amount of money which you could have spent less in the federal hospital.

My mom went to the hospital to run a chest scan for my little nephew, the doctor wasn't on sit, so they told my mom the day he would be around. My mom took the doctor's number because it was urgent, so they could bring his drugs from where it was seized by customs officers. We called him and he said he was traveling and he wouldn't be at the hospital for some time, and that my mom should bring him to his private hospital. The scan that was supposed to be 5$ which they told her was done for 15$ in his clinic, you can imagine what sick people are facing in this hardship.

There is always room for change if there is a genuine will. The various offices and hospitals should hold their staff accountable and also implement better training programs to ensure a better and smoother service.

She told her to go home and that she wouldn’t be attending to her?😂😂😂
Ah just like that?
It’s always difficult going to uni administration
Sometimes I even pray before going because they can just do you anyhow

😄😄 likee the guts well if you want to graduate peacefully you just have to behave else the woman would have seen crazy.

I get it😂

Sometimes a doctor telling you to go to a particular place to run a test could mean they are partnering with them but other times too it could mean they trust the result of that particular lab.

Whichever way, it’s really unfair the kind of prices charged for these tests. We just hope things get better.

They don't even care if all this process will kill the patient, a doctor said that the hospital is the best place for someone to die

This one is pure fraud, they just want to put the money in their account instead of giving it to the government.

Happy Birthday to the Hive Blockchain

The general hospitals here are just so bad that they don't care who dies or not, the nurses are so lazy.

You have said it all, I was hospitalized and I reacted to the drugs they gave me, the nurse didn't do anything about it, if not for my dad who had gone to call the doctor it wouldn't have been funny
