In life, it's always said we learn, unlearn and relearn. Learning is a continuous factor of life, because when we stop learning we stop growing.
Growth is as a result of what we've learnt, learning is a factor that brings about enlightenment and changes in our thoughts, beliefs and actions, oftentimes we might think we know most times better, or could handle some situations better only with the snap of our fingers, but most times it fails us, not because we don't know how to handle it, but it didn't work out in the regular way I've known it.
I've learnt that when we stop learning, we stop growing as earlier said, life each passing day teaches us many things. I would also say that life has taught me so many lessons, right from my childhood to this very day, but directly and indirectly, but most times, I fail to understand and learn from them, but when faced with difficult situations, i would remember them
The first lesson I got to learn about life is that we're all strangers in this world, and some day, we will all return to the place where we were formed from, (dust) and that we will all give account of our life here on earth, so why kill myself on something that will vanished or things i will leave behind one day, this lesson came as a result of my father and my friend's demise.
Although I was a toddler when I lost my father, but that of my friend really shocked me, and during that time, I was reflecting on so many things about life, a question dropped in my heart, what will I be remembered for, will I leave empty-handed, why do good people have to go? These were the questions that kept flowing through my thoughts.
They have finished their course on earth, and have gone back, why worry about them, rather worry about yourself, this was the first answer. And secondly, to be remembered, all I need to do is; plant a good seed, tend it, nurture it, prone it, and watch it grow to bear good fruits (creating a positive impact), that is what you'll be remembered for. That was the response I got.
With this response, my mentality about things was shaped, not in a negatively rather in a positive way, and that as being my anchor on every other life's challenges, seeing them as a phase that comes to shape and sharpen me more for the task ahead.
So rather than focusing on the challenges or pains it has coursed me, I looked at the brighter side of it, having the understanding that many are looking up to me, and scaling through those tough moments of life with strength and courage can help another person out there with the strength and boldness to fight and conquer.
Life has taught me so many lessons such as practicing gratitude, understanding that gratitude is a pathway for more blessings. I've learnt that nobody is an ireland, that one of my greatest gifts is the gift of men (true friends), understanding that they are special gifts, so i try to treat them special, the same way I ought to treat myself, hence, I've been hurt, wounded both emotionally and physically but I understand that they are human, they are not perfect, but we strive daily to perfection, also with this factor i also set boundaries to avoid repetition.
Life has also taught me that hard work pays, and laziness that births poverty is not all about staying idle rather it's the state of our mind, and unwillingness to go for knowledge, also unlearning certain things, and relearning facts that will help blend to the present society that we find ourselves, not negatively rather positive impact that would help us become relevant, so as to improve and impact ourselves as well as others.
These are some of the great lessons that life has taught me, and having this understanding has helped shape my life daily, because behind every success there is a story.

I like the fact that you didn’t look at the painful side of it but you focused on the brighter side. That’s definitely a really positive mindset.
Exactly, focusing on the painful part will bring more pains
Thank you for your contribution.
