Good day my people, happy weekend to you all,i should have ape on this topic i was little bit indisposed, welcome to my blog.....you see when people say 24 hours is not enough for them, I really understand them because sometimes I feel the same wayyou know there are days just I wake up and the hours just run so fast that I start asking myself what did I even achieve today, for me time management has not always been my strength oo and I can say I am still learning how to balance everything in my life.
One thing I discovered about myself is that even when I try to keep all the tasks in my head I end up forgetting some and rushing to do others, and when i rush yo do things, i do rubbish so this made me realize that I needed to find a better way, that was when I started using time management apps,At first ooo it was strange to plan my whole day on an app but later it became something that really helped me. Now I write down my daily task and set reminders so that I don’t get lost in the middle of many activities
Being someone who works as a UI UX design most times my tasks are just plenty like that, Sometimes I have to work on wireframes, create mockups or do user research and if I don’t arrange them well I will find myself stuck and wasting time. The app helps me to set priorities, for example finishing a client project before I move on to personal designs,It makes me feel more organized even though I am still not perfect at it but atleast is still helpful.
Apart from work I also have daily life activities like house chores, checking in on family or sometimes learning new skills. Before I started planning I used to feel overwhelmed because everything came at once but now I spread them out in a way that I can handle them without too much stress. Of course there are days I fail and end up not following my plan but at least I see the difference it makes when I try
One hack that helps me is breaking big tasks into smaller ones. If I say I want to finish a whole project in one day it feels impossible and discouraging but when I divide it into small parts it becomes easier. Another thing I do is to give myself little breaks after working for some hours you see those breaks help me refresh and come back with more energy
So even though I am not very good yet with managing my time I can say I am improving. The app and the habit of writing my tasks down has been a game changer for me. My goal is to keep practicing until I can manage my 24 hours well enough to achieve more without stressing too much.
Time will always move whether we use it well or not so the best we can do is to plan it in a way that brings balance and peace into our lives.thanks for reading my blog
Writing down tasks is very powerful, and the trick of breaking down large projects into small tasks is extremely useful. I love crossing things off the list as I complete them, hehe. Another thing I've noticed is that when you reduce the number of projects and focus only on the most important ones, suddenly the time available seems to multiply. It's better to do less, but do it better.
That's true....thanks for stopping by
