When it comes to hive, what attracts more people is the ability to create content which is blogging and then being given the opportunity to earn from this. If this is not true for many people I at least know that it’s true for some groups of people.
The first time I heard of blockchain blogging I was attracted by the fact that I could write blogs and earn. Even though I am not an exceptional writer I knew I could make something from the few contents I’ll write on hive. But then when it comes to hive there are a lot of things you can do other than blogging. Don’t get me wrong, writing blogs is also a way of investing in hive, as you’ll be rewarded for your time.
But then since most of us seem not to be able to keep up with our blogs daily well rather not put writing as our only way of investing in hive. One interesting thing about hive and In fact, the thing that separates hive from other blockchains is that we have games on hive. We have all heard about play2earn games right? Play to earn games are interesting games but then you can also get rewarded when you play them.
Currently, I play up to 3 hive games. It’s guaranteed that the games won’t make you rich but then they’ll stand in place for some of us who are not ready or not just in the mood to make a blog every day. From my experience being in a particular hive game for a while seems to be very rewarding in the long run.

Apart from hive games, there is the option of owning second-layer tokens on hive. A hivian without tokens in his or her second-layer wallet seems like he or she is lost in the hive ecosystem. You don’t necessarily need to put your money on to grow that account; well if you wanna grow it fast you’d have to invest your money but then you can equally just use the tags of some of these second-layer projects and if you are lucky enough you’ll be airdropped their tokens.
Second-layer tokens teach and also help us keep track of our crypto life apart from hive. In the second layer wallet, one can also make an investment from there. Apart from using the tags, you can also write using the project's front end for a chance to earn their token.
For example, if you use the Leo finance front end to post to any community then you stand a chance of earning Leo tokens all though you can also end from using the leo finance tag but then what you’ll earn from using the tag will be lesser than the what you get for using the front end.
There are other projects who curate based on users who hold their tokens. As a way of persuading the users to keep hold of their tokens, they add the benefit of receiving curation from holding the tokens for as long as possible. This is another way of investing as eventually you’ll earn back what you put into the token.
What other way one can also invest in hive is by owning a lot of HP. When it comes to the topic of hive power I don’t think anyone has ever said they regret owning a lot of Hp and curating others. Apart from curation users you also earn from curating others. For me, I think one of the best investments in hive is to own a lot of hp that can give out significant votes to users.
