Greetings!
The new year resolution is a plan that always comes with too many expectations and what this means is that we humans are always expected to open a new chapter when a new year comes.
However, in most situations, we humans always want to make sure we meet our plans and expectations for the year, but one thing I have so far realized is that we can only try our best to realize all the plans, but at times, we may not be able to meet up.
Having said this, I would like to share my thoughts about the topic which is, “postponed dreams.”
At the beginning of this year, I have so many resolutions which I have mapped out to even carried out and make it done and dusted before the half of the year, and to the glory of God, I have been able to realize some of my 2025 resolutions, but even at that, there's still much to be realized by me.
One of those left over dreams of mine is that of having an added source of income to my existing one. At the beginning of the year, I decided to start up a business just to add another source of income having looked at how it fared in the year 2024.
So, when it's time for me to map out my new year resolutions for the new year 2025, I made it my top priority, but instead of me pursuing this particular dream, I was unable to do so as so many things came up in the course of the year which I have to settle.
Although, it was my wish to stick to.my plan of setting up a building material business for myself in order to make more money but all to no avail.
There's a time when I saved money to start up the business, but it's a pity that I needed the money to pay my younger brother's school fees as he was about to finish from the higher institution of learning and if I would not pay for his fees, he would not graduate from the university.
So, this was what prompted me to jettison my plan and resolution of setting up a new business to pay my younger brother school.
Although, I'm still in pursuit of this my big dream as we still have more than enough time in the year, but if it's no more possible in the year, then I will have to postpone it till next year.
However, if I would have to postpone it till next year, then it would be on top of my agenda for next year and I will sure make sure I pursue it before another thing pop up to disrupt my resolutions for next year and I even believe if I could do this, I will be able to tackle any other thing that might pop up later in the year.
