Not Too Much To Ask_ Expectations...

in HiveGhana4 months ago

It’s a new year and like many Nigerians, I’m not asking for too much from my government, and seriously, I don’t even have any long expectations again for this nation, so if there are three things I want then they will be very basic things that I feel, if they get right, life will be a bit better for a lot of us, so yeah it's nothing dramatic, and also it's not impossible, it's just things that should already be working in the first place.

The first thing I really want my country to fix is our employment issues , this one is just very important, you see too many young people are jobless and it is not because they are lazy, nah, but because there are no opportunities outside , You will see graduates with first class, second class, even people with skills, certificates, experience, just sitting at home, everybody is doing one hustle or the other just to survive anyhow.

Our Government should create jobs or at least create an environment where any businesses can grow and employ people, not this one where companies are shutting down every day, like how do you expect people not to be frustrated? Ehn... With no job, no money, no hope, nothing at all, like..... Na so suffering dey start, see If employment is fixed, many other problems will reduce naturally and that's sure.

The second thing is education, because the way students are treated in Nigeria is not fair at all, our educational system is seriously a big mess, from primary school to university, everything just feels stressful, Strikes up and down, poor facilities, lecturers that don’t even care sometimes, and students are the ones paying the price, Imagine spending extra years in school because of strikes you have no control over, Omo see ehn , It’s tiring, education should be a place of growth, not frustration, government needs to invest more in schools, pay the lecturers well, improve learning conditions, and they should stop playing politics with student’s futures, see Education is foundation of any country, and if that foundation is weak, you know that everything else will shake.

The third thing I really expect my government to fix is insecurity, this one is very scary to the point of no return, we all know what's happening in the country, People are no longer safe in their own country, people are afraid to travel, afraid to live in certain areas, afraid to even sleep with both their eyes closed, Kidnapping, banditry, killings, it is just too much, People should be able to live anywhere in the country without any form of fear, see ehn the farmers should go to their farms without thinking of being attacked, parents should not be scared for their children every day, If security is handled properly, nigeria will be a better place instantly, see peace of mind is underrated, but it means everything.

Me i know that some people will say “we have been saying this every year” and yes, it is true, but then does that mean we should stop talking nii? No na.... these things do matter like a lot, they really affect real lives, see these things employment, education, and security are not luxury demands, they are basic responsibilities of any government.

So me like this, this new year, I am just hoping that maybe, just maybe, our leaders will listen more and do better. See we know deep inside us that Nigerians are strong, but then even the strongest people get tired, we just want a country that works, even if it is small progress, that one alone will go a long way.

May God help us in this country,, so many unemployed graduates searching for jobs

Amen o
We can only pray.

Employment issues.
Very alarming.
Sometimes it gets discouraging to go to school because after school, there's no future

Omo, this thing I understand. God will help us..

Insecurity has really deals with many innocent Nigerian, and has overstayed for too long.
Hmm.. is only God I trust to bring change to this ugly situation

I believe that Nigeria will be better if these are taken into consideration.

Actually Nigeria will be great if they do this
