Finally the weekend.

Feels a bit weird really.

I haven't had weekends in a long long time. Not since my school days really. So it feels a bit weird to be looking forward to the weekend after a long week of work.

But that's how it is now and i might as well make the most of it. Feet up and pint of Guinness at hand. Not a bad way to start it.

We don't get out much anymore with a baby on the way next month so it's enough to have a couple of drinks and watch a little bit of Friday night tv. The programme of choice is of course the "Late late show." An Irish staple.

It's not great but it's familiar and can sometimes have a few decent guests.

There is still lots ot be done over the weekend but the main thing is to get my car fixed after six months of trouble and my parents are calling up on the sunday evening. They are not too far away but i don't get to see them too often due to life being busy. So it's always nice to get that chance to see them when we can. They won't be around for ever.

Might even get to watch a little sport and get outside for a while along the way. It's the little things that make all the difference. Little things like writing a few words and clearing the head before settling in for the evening and spending time with the family.

I don't need much else.

Enjoy the weekend! I'm confined at home without going outside

I find the late late show is good until they roll out the weekly terminally person with their miserable story and you end up heading to bed sad! 😂. Granted theres a place for this but not every bloody week.

I haven't looked forward to a weekend since my school days either. Every day feels the same because every day is work.

Enjoy the weekend and I wish your wife a safe delivery.

It's really those little things that matter

Spending time with family is always best.
