When it comes to the best step i have taken online, it is investing in steemmonsters and don't be surprised that back in the days when steemmonsters started, i used to hate it and even sold the cards i got for free but my friends in neoxian discord server do tell me to join and even boast about their reward cards which was great so i forced myself to like the game, yea you saw it right, i actually forced myself to like the game but now i am an addict lol.... i can't do without playing the game now and i play so many accounts.....
The weekly challenge is also a nice way for steemmonsters to help players earn more from the game, kudos to the steemmonsters team, so proud of em and all they are doing to make the players and investors happy...
This week challenge is using ARMOR SMITH a life splinter card in a battle and also give details on how the card the match was set and played but i will be adding some details about the particular cards we were told to use in the battle...
- EDITION: Promo card
- RARITY: Common card
- ELEMENT: Life splinter
- The ARMOR SMITH is a 2 mana monster with melee attack, it has only one ability called REPAIR which Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage. i love to use this card in mostly magic hits armor rules and atimes in all melee can attack rules because of his repair ability which protect the monster from dying fast...
Let us talk about my battle with the ARMOR SMITH, i was given 2 rules for the battle which stated;
- Close range;Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
- Rise of the commons; Only common and rare monsters may be used in battle.
I was paired with @enminers-14 and due to the rules of the battle, he came with ranged attackers which was expected by me and the reason so i came up with a set up to counter his attacks..
SET UP
- SILVERSHIELD PALADIN
This card is a very useful card at the front due to his heavy armor and in addition it has two abilities shield and magic reflect which makes it difficult for melee and ranged attacks to take him down and magic attack monsters also suffer damages when they hit it
- DIVINE HEALER
The grandma is well known for her healing ability and that is the reason why i placed it in the second position to be the heal tank for paladin and it also has a magic attack which causes little damage to the opponent...
- ARMOR SMITH
I placed the hammer guy as my third card so it can repair the paladin's shield when the enemy hit it, the combination of both the divine healer and armor smith is very harmful for the opponent cos it will take lot of effort for him to take down the first monster especially if the monster is strong...
- FURIOUS CHICKEN
Who doesn't like to use chicken? lol i think many often use it when there is a space for it especially in low mana battle, i used it as the fourth card to stop my enemy from getting to my range attack monster fast enough, and it worked cos my opponent came with snipers but they had to take down my chicken before they get to my range attacks.. i didn't level up my chicken cos i don't like a chicken with melee attack...
- PEACEBRINGER
I really do think this monster deserve his name due to his good and cool look, there are many ways to bring peace to the city, either by words or by action, the handsome monster will rather use his power to make peace reign and he has a very strong range attack, i placed it as my last card for him to do justice to the enemy's monster...
It works perfectly, the paladin did his job receiving all the blows from the monster, the healer also performed her duty healing the paladin, the armor man did his duty repairing paladin's armor, the chicken also cause distraction and the peacebringer took the monsters down one by one......
I use it most times i wanna use the life splinter especially in rules like magic attacks hit armor and also melee can attack from any position, it helps to protect the other monsters and repair damages.

Ya know? I wasn't a gamer before this... I mean, I LOVE board games... but never really got into video based ones.
So... I also kinda forced myself to love it. 🤣 It was more that the hubs DID love it and literally talked about nothing else. And now I'm the same. 🤣 I really honestly LOVE playing now. I'm still a bit surprised at this, but wake every day and it's still true. 🤣
