Sandworm of Draykh-Nahka, The flying monsters nemesis

Happy weekend famz, this week battle challlenge is a commoly used monster called sandworm, even tho this card is a 9 mana monster i still love to use it in certain rules and battles but the most important use case of it for me is to help me get rid of flying monsters that players do place at defense and for example is the spark pixies of the fire splinter and the spirit of the forest of the earth splinter. These monsters are hard to hit because they are flying monsters and also have high speed....

Unfortunately for those monsters, sandworm is a flying monster killer because of it snare ability that never miss to hit flying monster and it also causes fatal damage with its piercing ability as no armor can protect them from sandworm, most times i also do change my set up because i am always cautious of my opponent using this monster to clear my defence....

The fear of sandworm is the beginning of wisdom for players using flying monsters, it is a neutral card which makes it better as it can be used along with any splinter, i love using it most with yodin zaku, it has a high melee attack and with the combo of zaku blast, its attack is always fatal!..

i had a battle with #warrentrx and the rules was close rang which indicate that range attack monsters can attack in first position and the second rule state that legendary monsters can not be used... I had 80 pcent assurance that my opponent will come with yodin zaku and that is what i am going to use too and it is only the way we place our cards that will determine who the winner will be..

Merely looking at the screenshot i shared above, you will realized that we use two similar monsters but the rest are different, i am going to explain why i use this monster and the set up now.

SET UP

  • SERPENTINE SOLDIER & MANTOID

There is no water splinter available so i knew the opponent is likely coming with more melee or range monster so the best monster to counter their attack is serpentine soldier because of its dodge ability and thorns, the mantoid is a snipe monster so it will be very useful in disorganizing the opponent rear set up.


  • FLAME IMP & TOWER GRIFFIN

The flame imp was specifically use to speed up my monsters as in most battle speed wins and also if you check the opponent set up you will realized he used a monster that slow my monsters, the griffin was used to protect the monsters with his armor


  • SANDWORM & SPARK PIXIES

I used the sandworm to clear the enemy defence as i know he was going to use spark pixies but somehow he was thinking different he used it but not as the last monster, he placed it in the middle, but still my sandworm did amazingly by clearing the two monsters he placed at the back by one hit and my spark pixie didn;t do much but still it did some hit and the opponent spy missed hitting it ....

I won the battle because of my set up, i rely on speed and high power attack monsters but the opponent split his attack by using magic and he didn't even protect his monsters, bad move lol

)
