It was sunny and mild, quite a contrast from the stormy weather we had at the weekend. I went for a walk in another village not too far from me. I started off walking around the perimeter of a field.
I crossed over the wooden bridge and came to a lovely little brook.
The ferns are beginning to change to brown. The place had a golden glow about it.
There has been a lot of tree felling in this area as the trees have a disease called 'ash dieback'. It was quite a sorry sight but they are planting some young saplings to compensate for the loss.
I could smell the cut wood before I saw the logs at either side of the footpath.
Along the side of the wooded area, I spotted some fly agarics. Some were quite large.
I walked over the ploughed field and onto the well worn footpath back to the car.
